Doctor Profile: Faisal A. Chaudhry, MD

Dr. Chaudhry: My name is Dr. Faisal Chaudhry. I’m an interventional pain specialist at Florida Orthopaedic Institute. I’ve been doing interventional pain for about six years now. Really, I treat a large variety of conditions. Unfortunately, a lot of people suffer with pain and many patients have very different pain conditions. Usually, we’re seeing a lot of the bread and butter neck pain, low back pain. But also seeing some very complex cases with a nerve injury and chronic nerve damage. Pain really isn’t a choice that anyone should have to live with. I want patients to know that look, there’s something out there that’s going to help them. The field is changing every day. The technological advancements are amazing. Giving those patients some level of relief and just some quality of life back is really amazing because there’s something that we can potentially offer to every patient that comes to us. I think Florida Orthopedic Institute is really an amazing set-up. (01:04) There are a lot of really world-class surgeons and a whole team of people that are working together to provide patients with really good care. It’s very important to have pain management on board. It is a unique model in many places. They don’t have that. Orthopedic surgeons kind of work independently. But here, having it all in-house, having it together, me being able to refer a patient to my colleague just across the hall to get a consultation, it’s a very unique and amazing model that allows us to provide really comprehensive care to patients. On a personal level, I really do enjoy sports, whether that’s watching sports, but usually it’s playing a variety of sports. I play basketball at least once or twice a week. I really enjoy golf. I have an amazing family. I have four beautiful children, an amazing wife, as well, who is very supportive of everything. Just super excited to me part of the Florida Orthopaedic Institute family and continue to give back to the Tampa Bay community. (02:00)
