Doctor Profile: Georges Haidamous, MD
Dr. Haidamous: My name is Georges Haidamous I’m an orthopedic surgeon at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute. I specialize in shoulder surgery. This includes arthroscopic and shoulder replacement surgery, as well as complex and revision cases. I did my shoulder and elbow Fellowship training at the Florida Orthopedic Institute and I did my sports training in Michigan. Some of the conditions that I treat include problems with the rotator cuff, arthritis of the shoulder, shoulder dislocations and I also treat athletic injuries that require cartilage preservation, ligament problems. My approach is patient specific, whether it being conservative treatment or surgery when it’s indicated, depending on the case. The best thing I like about what I do is establishing a connection with the patient that allows or is conducive to recovery and healing. This is done by listening to their problems, understanding them, and working as a team to make them get better. When a patient comes to see me I’d like them to feel welcome, to feel that they are the center of attention of the care that we are providing here, and make them feel that they are not just with their doctor but with someone they can trust with their health problems. The most rewarding part of my job is helping my patient and eliminating their pain. Getting back their functionality and getting back to what they enjoy doing. What sets Florida Orthopaedic Institute apart from other facilities is its excellence in patient care through its Fellowship trained surgeons, staff and facilities that provide the highest end in surgical care. This is why Florida Orthopaedic Institute is a leader in Orthopedic care.
