This year marks the 40th year of the Jingle Bell Run, the original festive race for charity brought to you by the Arthritis Foundation. Your fundraising efforts are fueled the fight to conquer arthritis. With every step, we funded critical research for treatments and a cure, as well as supporting life-changing resources and programs.

Shout out to FOI’s Jingle Dashers for coming out in force for this weekend’s annual Arthritis Foundation Jingle Bell Run at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa. FOI’s Jingle Dashers raised the most funds of any team participating in this weekend’s event, with more than $7,000 raised for arthritis research, resources, and local programs.

This years 2024 Orthopedic Honoree is none other than FOI’s Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Kevin Cronin.

Dr. Cronin joined the Board of Directors of the Arthritis Foundation three years ago. His family and himself have been participating in the Jingle Bell Run since 2022 and it is now a part of their yearly holiday traditions.

Seeing all of the arthritis warriors, their families, and supporters is what I love about the Arthritis Foundation – it allows patients to take a hold of their disease and empowers them to live an active lifestyle. 

Dr. Cronin was so excited to see the large number of FOI team members turn out for the Jingle Bell Run this year. Each year the support from FOI has grown. Treating patients with arthritis is a large part of what we do and our team members were drawn to support a cause that hits close to home.

“It is such a privilege to represent FOI as the Orthopaedic Nominee. All of us know someone who suffers from arthritis. The most rewarding part of my job is being able to get patients back to doing the activities they love. I see first hand how debilitating arthritis can be. Every day I am inspired by the resiliency of my patients”, Dr. Cronin states.
