Dr. Evan Loewy recently received the Roger A. Mann Award from the AOFAS (American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society), which is given to recognize the outstanding clinical paper presented at the AOFAS Annual Meeting.

The AOFAS Program Committee selects nominated studies from a blind review of abstracts submitted for consideration for the scientific program.

Dr. Loewy was awarded for his presentation, “Long-Term Revision Rates and Functional Outcomes of Total Ankle Arthroplasty and Ankle Arthrodesis.”

Named in honor of Roger A. Mann, MD, an educator, researcher, and past president of AOFAS, the award was established in 1994 by Dr. Mann’s fellows. Dr. Loewy was joined in this paper by former FOI foot & ankle fellow Kevin M. Goodson, MD; Kevin Huang, MS; Alexandrea Perkins, BS; and FOI’s now retired Arthur K. Walling, MD.
