About Dr. Cooper
Dr. Andrew Cooper is a board certified, and fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in minimally invasive direct anterior total hip and knee replacements, utilizing computer robotic navigation. He is an honors graduate of Yale University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at the University of Miami, where he was Chief Resident. He served as an Aufranc fellow at the New England Baptist Hospital in Boston.
He is a member of numerous organizations and authored publications. Dr. Cooper was recognized by Becker’s as one of the top total knee replacement surgeons of 2020.
He uses a direct anterior approach for total hip replacements utilizing the latest technology to add precision to the procedure. This contributes to a more precise and personalized surgical procedure with improved patient outcomes. Patients commend his friendly enthusiasm to address all their concerns and his commitment to restore their active everyday living. In the community, he is known as “Super Cooper.”
Dr. Cooper is a native of Dallas and is an avid Cowboys fan. He is extremely family oriented and enjoys their traveling adventures. To stay active, he jogs and plays basketball. He loves playing and hating golf.
