About Dr. Ricketts
Dr. Ricketts is a board eligible orthopedic surgeon. She completed her orthopedic trauma fellowship at Tampa General Hospital/Florida Orthopaedic Institute under Roy Sanders, MD, one of the nation’s top fellowships in orthopedic trauma since 1987. She completed her residency in orthopedic surgery at Geisinger Medical Center in Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine, while serving as Student Body President. She played for the Division I American University Women’s Volleyball team and was nominated as team captain her junior and senior years. She received her undergraduate degree at American University in Washington, DC where she was summa cum laude and valedictorian.
Dr. Ricketts cares for traumatic injuries of the upper and lower extremities, including acute and chronic trauma, post-traumatic complications, nonunion, malunion, and infection. She also treats chronic conditions including hip and knee arthritis with both conservative measures and joint replacement surgery.
Dr. Ricketts takes pride in caring for her patients regardless of background, age, gender, or physical capabilities. She helps patients return to their activities, work, and families through her surgical skill, counseling, and compassion. She is passionate about orthopedics because of the team-based approach and enjoys working with the great team at FOI.
In her spare time, Dr. Ricketts enjoys spending time with her family. She lives in Lakeland and loves being on or near water whenever possible.
