About Dr. Kilgore
Dr. John E. Kilgore is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in hip and knee replacement. His expertise extends to robotic-assisted surgery, minimally invasive techniques, and enhanced patient experience. Dr. Kilgore consistently remains at the forefront of innovative techniques and technologies in his field.
Dr. Kilgore completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Florida and earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida College of Medicine. He further honed his skills through orthopaedic training at the renowned Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
In recognition of his contributions to patient care, Dr. Kilgore received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the BayCare Awards Committee for his work in developing pathways for patient optimization and rapid recovery in hip and knee replacement surgeries. He has also served as the Medical Director for the Orthopaedic Service Line across the entire BayCare Health System.
He has served as adjunct faculty for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at USF and has worked as a consultant to Stryker Orthopedics, helping teach and demonstrate new techniques to his surgical colleagues.
Dr. Kilgore likes traveling and skiing and enjoys time with his wife and two children pursuing those activities.
