About Dr. Remaley

Dr. Trey Remaley is board certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He also holds a Certificate of Additional Qualities in Orthopedic Sports Medicine from the American Osteopathic Board. He was born in Twin Falls, Idaho, and is an avid sports fan. He loves all sports and is significantly involved at the University of South Florida Department of Athletics and St Leo University as one of the Team Orthopedic Surgeons.

While he was raised in Idaho, he also calls Utah, West Virginia, and Ohio home. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Utah and his medical degree from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery through Ohio University at Mercy St. Vincent Medical Center in Toledo, Ohio, where he served as a chief resident. After residency, he then completed a Sports Medicine Fellowship at the University of South Florida. Following his fellowship, Dr. Remaley returned to the University of South Florida and currently holds positions as an Associate Professor and as a Team Orthopedic Surgeon in the Department of Athletics and Sports Medicine.

Dr. Remaley specializes in all things related to sports medicine. In addition, he sees patients for complex issues related to hips, knees, and shoulders, including joint replacements related to these disorders.

He is a member of numerous organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society of Sports Medicine, the American Osteopathic Association of Orthopaedics, and local and state medical organizations.

Dr. Remaley enjoys taking care of patients of all ages and activity levels. He believes that educating patients and ensuring they feel listened to and heard is vital to the best outcome. He believes in working as a team with the patient and other care providers to provide the best opportunity for patients to return to their daily activities and work as soon as possible.

In his spare time, Dr. Remaley enjoys spending time with his wife, Angela, and their daughters, Tylah and Madison. He also is a big fan of the University of Utah (his alma mater), as well as the Michigan Wolverines, the Green Bay Packers, and of course the hometown Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He loves playing golf and spending time at the beach with his family. He enjoys traveling with his wife and exploring new adventures, and he loves trying new foods.
