Doctor Profile: Howard Jackson, MD
Dr. Jackson: My name is Howard Jackson. I am a physical medicine and rehab specialist with a subspecialty in interventional spine. I’ve been practicing at the Florida Orthopaedic Institute since 1999 and I take care of patients who have painful spinal conditions such as neck pain with arm pain or low back pain with leg pain. I am fascinated with cutting-edge techniques. Treating spine problems is very challenging. I am always learning. There’s always more to learn. I learned from books I learned from my patients. I’m learning from colleagues and it’s very streamlined. What I like about what I do is that I’m able to help so many different people and I enjoy being able to return function to people who’ve lost function or I’m not being a doctor. I enjoy being a dad. I have two wonderful children and I just enjoy the Florida lifestyle. Being able to have great weather year-round is just a blessing. I am very happy that I chose the field of spine medicine and the field has grown and I’m glad to be growing with the field and I really look forward to words the future, the future techniques, and what procedures and management options are going to be available in the future.
