Doctor Profile: Mark Frankle, MD

Dr. Frankle: (00:04) During these unprecedented times, we want to make sure that we can deliver safe care to patients, but we still need the available care. The pandemic clearly has focused our attention at the risk of making sure we don’t spread this disease, but also patients are really suffering with many orthopedic problems that can actually be treated quite safely. Any sore or tender spots here I’m pressing?

Respondent: No.

Dr. Frankle: Okay. Take your arms and reach them straight up over your head all the way up.

Respondent: Dr. Frankle, very professional. I mean, to the point. He doesn’t pussyfoot around. He tells you how it is, and he’s a caring doctor.

Dr. Frankle: How about up to the sides, same thing? All the way up. Keep going, keep going.

Respondent: My wife also is a patient of his. Dr. Frankle does an excellent job as far as caring for you.

Dr. Frankle: We want to make sure that we maintain parameters that will reduce anyone’s risk of developing or getting the virus to either us, our staff or to our patients. I think the use of telemedicine (01:00) visits or any other types of ways that we can continually communicate with our patients really allows us to stay connected. “Hey, Barry.”

Barry: Hello.

Dr. Frankle: How are your shoulders going?

Barry: My shoulders are doing fine.

Dr. Frankle: Is the motion in your shoulders, is one different than the other or are they about the same?

Barry: They’re about the same, but I think my left shoulder has gotten further (01:26 unclear) tender than my right shoulder.

Dr. Frankle: Shoulder, is it? Hold it like this. Don’t resist.

Female Respondent: He’s a fantastic doctor. He was recommended by another doctor. He said, “If you want to go to the best, you go to Dr. Frankle.”

Dr. Frankle: You’ve done great. When you look at the X-rays from initially till now, there’s really little change. We mean there’s little wear. Just once a year to see you, make sure that things are moving and there’s no change. You’re okay, excellent.

Female Respondent: Don’t even think about another doctor. Come here. It’s worth it if you have to drive, because he’s the best. He’s the best. I’m truly blessed.

Dr. Frankle: (02:00) We still have people that are suffering that really benefit from our care. I think when we do that safely and effectively, we could reduce any chance of having really some problems that would be related.
