Doctor Profile: Michael Miranda, DO, MS

Dr. Miranda: My name is Michael Miranda. I’m an orthopedic surgeon. So this is the artificial hip here. I concentrate mostly on adult reconstruction patients that are in need of hip and knee replacements. I’ve been in practice for four years now. I ended up in Tampa three, four years ago. I completed the adult reconstruction fellowship here at Florida Orthopaedic Institute and I was fortunate enough to be hired back on staff here. I’m always been interested in orthopedics because I believe that I have a major interest in the musculoskeletal system and treating injury and injury prevention.

There is a relationship with my patients that I have as, I consider them a somewhat family in a sense that I really am concerned with how they recover, how they’re doing and what can we do more to speed that recovery or improve their condition. The challenges that each day, each new day can bring is what drives my excitement in returning to work. You know, on a daily basis new patients, new problems a new potential for helping out someone that I potentially have never met before. The most satisfying thing about my job is seeing a patient have a good result and be happy after they’ve had a surgical procedure. This means I’ve treated them successfully.
