Keeping You Active: Roger Jones

I am Roger T Jones II. I am 20 years old. I wrestled at Brandon High School. Pretty competitive. The school’s ranked really high nationally, so I got to compete with everybody and compete really tough. I was wrestling and I kind of just felt a tug in my shoulder and it kind of pop out of place and go back in. Just definitely knew I didn’t like it and I needed to get it fixed. One day after school we took a trip and we saw Dr. Gasser and he right away knew he knew what was wrong with me and I just liked the fact that it was like talking to another athlete really.

He took me in and tightened up my shoulder. I’m a lot more reliable on my right shoulder now than my left shoulder. Honestly. I think that’s crazy. Crazy to think that my surgically repaired shoulder is the one that I rely on most of the time. I wrestle at the Air Force Academy. I’m a freshman, a rising sophomore at the Air Force Academy. I wrestled 125. It’s an honor. One of the first times I put on the singlet with an AF on the front it was surreal. Thank you, Dr. Gasser. Ah, I don’t know where I’d be. I’d probably be somewhere around here, not wrestling. He, he definitely extended my wrestling career and let me do the thing that I love.
